Erica-Denise Solomon unveils vision for District 35 during campaign kickoff and birthday celebration

This past Monday, the Erica-Denise Solomon for State Senate 35 campaign officially shifted into high gear, hosting a successful Campaign Kickoff and Birthday Celebration at Bold Monk Brewing surrounded by friends, family, and supporters.

The event was a powerful display of the energy and unity needed to win the Georgia State Senate District 35 Special Election on November 18, 2025.

In an intimate gathering, Erica-Denise Solomon, the only woman in the race, delivered a passionate speech rooted in her core message: “OUR STORY. OUR HISTORY. OUR FUTURE.”

Unveiling the platform: A leader ready to deliver results

Erica-Denise spoke about the urgent need for a prepared leader to fill the vacant seat and shared the specific legislative priorities she will fight for at the State Capitol:

  • Affordability and Housing: Working to lower the cost of living and expand affordable housing options to address the financial pressures families are facing.

  • Economic Opportunity: Advocating to raise the minimum wage, support entrepreneurs, and increase access to capital for small businesses, especially in communities of color.

  • Protecting Rights: Standing firm to protect reproductive freedom, civil rights, and public education from legislative attacks.

  • Local Investment: Ensuring fair state investment in South Fulton and South Cobb infrastructure, schools, and public safety.

A fundraising push

The event successfully raised funds, but with the election only weeks away, the campaign is in a crucial window: This is an off-cycle special election with expected low turnout. That means voter contact equals victory.

The campaign has set a goal to raise $10,000 by Sunday night to fuel the next crucial weeks of voter outreach.

  • A contribution of $500 funds a full day of our canvassers door-knocking in key precincts.

  • A couple’s maximum gift of $6,600 pays for a direct mail drop to 10,000 voters.

Can't give money? Give time!

Not everyone can contribute financially, but every hour of volunteer time translates directly into votes. Those who cannot donate money, please consider donating a few hours of your time this week to:

  • Phone Bank: Calling supporters to finalize their vote plan.

  • Canvass: Knocking on doors to share Erica’s platform and urge voters to the polls.
