Erica-Denise Solomon connects with South Fulton voters in intimate "Citizens Conversation"

Erica-Denise Solomon, candidate for the vacant Georgia State Senate District 35 seat, participated in the South Fulton Coalition's "Citizens Conversation Series" this past Monday, Nov. 3.

The virtual event provided a unique opportunity for Solomon to engage in an in-depth, unguarded discussion with residents of the City of South Fulton, addressing the issues that matter most ahead of the crucial Nov. 18 Special Election.

An unguarded conversation on South Fulton’s future

Unlike traditional forums that feature multiple candidates, this one-on-one virtual conversation allowed Solomon to hold the full attention of the audience and speak freely about her policy solutions. The format, which mirrored a talk show, allowed for organic dialogue and detailed responses to audience questions on critical South Fulton matters.

"It was an an honor to have a dedicated conversation with the South Fulton Coalition and the residents of this vibrant city," Solomon said. "These are my neighbors, and their concerns—from stabilizing infrastructure funding to ensuring equitable economic development—are exactly why I am running for the State Senate. You can't solve problems with soundbites; you solve them with dialogue and detailed plans."

Focus on policy and accountability

The conversation centered on Solomon’s commitment to:

  • Affordable housing: Tackling the crisis that threatens to displace local residents and protecting neighborhoods from land speculation.

  • Infrastructure investment: Advocating for state funds to improve roads, utilities, and public safety infrastructure throughout South Fulton and South Cobb.

  • Economic opportunity: Focusing on small business growth and increasing access to resources for entrepreneurs of color.

The event allowed Erica-Denise to demonstrate her depth of knowledge and her commitment to bringing accountability and clear results to the State Capitol.
