Erica-Denise Solomon receives 2025 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction

The Erica-Denise Solomon campaign Sunday proudly announced that it has been awarded the 2025 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction. This recognition highlights Erica-Denise Solomon’s strong commitment to advocating for common-sense gun safety policies and preventing gun violence.

In a Special Election focused on securing safe communities and equitable opportunities, this distinction underscores the necessity of electing leaders who will prioritize family safety.

Solomon, the only woman running in the race for District 35, issued a statement writing that she was honored to receive the distinction.

“Gun violence prevention is not a partisan issue; it is a common-sense necessity,” Solomon said. “I am proud to be recognized as a candidate who will govern with gun safety in mind and take meaningful steps to protect our children and our neighborhoods.”

What the distinction means

The Gun Sense Candidate distinction is a signal to voters, volunteers and supporters across the country that Erica-Denise Solomon advocates for gun violence prevention and will champion this issue at the Capitol.

This distinction is not an endorsement from Moms Demand Action or Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund.
